Equipment

  • skillet if cooking on the stovetop
  • pizza pan if baking in the oven

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • olive oil
  • ½ cup sweet-style tomato sauce
  • sliced ham cut into cubes
  • pineapple tidbits drained well
  • mozzarella cheese shredded

Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk to distribute evenly. Add yogurt and stir until a dough is formed.
  • Dust a flat working surface with a little flour and turn over the dough. Knead until smooth and no longer sticky.
  • Using a rolling pin, flatten the dough into about ¼ inch thick.

If baking in the oven

  • Preheat the oven to 450 F.
  • Place the rolled dough on a round pizza pan and bake for 5 to 8 minutes.
  • Take it out of the oven and assemble the pizza. Spread tomato sauce on the top, layer ham and pineapple tidbits, and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella.
  • Return to oven and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes or until cheese is melted. Remove from the oven and slice into serving pieces.

If cooking on the stovetop

  • Roll the pizza dough and use the skillet or pan to measure the dough. Trim the edges to fit the pan.
  • Heat the pan over medium heat and grease with olive oil. Transfer the rolled dough and cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until the bottom is lightly browned.
  • Flip the dough using a spatula or turner. Lower the heat and assemble the pizza. Spread tomato sauce on the top, layer ham and pineapple tidbits, and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Cover tightly with the lid and cook for another 3 to 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Transfer the pizza to a cutting board and slice it into serving pieces.
